Simulators and Burgers

As we covered in our last blog post, the summer of 2017 kept us on our toes and traveling from coast to coast. Sure, simulator installation is hard work requiring technical know-how, but there are some perks to the job, too. We’ve met (and trained) a lot of wonderful people over the years – and discovered some amazing food!

One of our busiest trainers has a deep and abiding love for a good burger. In fact, over the years as he’s traveled around the country providing training for our installations, he’s made a point of finding the best local burgers to help feed his habit. In his quest for the best burgers he’s visited more than 100 burger joints. We want to share a few of his favorites from around the country so that you can experience the burgers for yourself (if you’re ever in one of these areas).

Burger Joint #1 – Le Tub, Hollywood, FL

Burger from Le Tub

Florida is home to many of our clients. This means we’ve spent many a night in search of good grub. Lucky for us, we found The Le Tub Saloon in Hollywood, FL!

Le Tub is home to the best basic cheeseburger on the planet (trust us, we’re engineers and not given to hyperbole). If you’re a cheeseburger purist and love a big hunk of delicious meat on a fresh bun served in a lively atmosphere, then this place is a must try. We don’t want to sound biased, but we’ve made four trips (and counting) to Le Tub over the years.

Burger Joint #2 – Burger Republic, Nashville, TN

Burger from Burger Republic

Traveling to trade shows can be tough, but finding a gem like Burger Republic makes it a little easier. We came across this burger joint during a trade show in Nashville and we can’t wait to go back! They have a great selection of gourmet burgers, and some really interesting sides (like tater tots or bacon mac ‘n’ cheese). We went for the burgers but stayed to enjoy the adult milkshakes.

Burger Joint #3 – Lucky 13, Salt Lake City, UT

Burger from Lucky 13

And finally, the last burger joint to make our initial list (look for subsequent burger blogs in the future) comes from Salt Lake City, Utah. A cool little place right next to the ballpark named Lucky 13.  Not only do they make a truly awesome, gourmet burger and a variety of french fries, they also have a decent collection of whiskeys and bourbons. If you’re ever in the area, we highly recommend it.

There you have it, our first installation of Top Burger Joints around America! Just remember, don’t drink spiked milkshakes and drive; drink spiked milkshakes and Uber!
